Watford Business Park’s ‘Inspire’ Attracts Four New Businesses to join
Watford Borough Council has proudly announced the addition of four new businesses to the recently revamped ‘Inspire’ at Watford Business Park. This modern business hub, located near Faraday Close, has quickly become a hotspot for thriving enterprises since its transformation earlier this year.

The new businesses joining the park are:
- Greggs (Unit 1): The well-known British bakery chain, famous for its delicious range of bakery goods and snacks. (ALREADY THERE)
- D Tiles (Unit 2): A hardware company specializing in high-quality tiles and related products.
- National Lock and Safe (Unit 3): A local company offering comprehensive security solutions, including locks, safes, and related services.
- Funky Elephant (Unit 14): A Hertfordshire-based private events catering company known for its creative and bespoke catering services.
The redevelopment of the site was made possible through council funding and a £5 million investment from the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The 4.3-acre site, previously a car park, now features 13 high-quality industrial and warehouse units and a café, all designed with sustainability in mind.

Each unit is equipped with solar panels, electric vehicle charging points, and ample cycle storage facilities.
The buildings maximize natural light and ventilation, contributing to lower energy consumption and a projected BREEAM ‘Very Good’ sustainability rating.
Additionally, the site includes a new sustainable urban drainage system, a pond, native wildflower planting, and numerous newly planted trees, enhancing the industrial setting and supporting biodiversity.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, expressed his excitement: “We are thrilled to welcome these four businesses to ‘Inspire’. The redevelopment of Watford Business Park is a testament to our commitment to sustainable growth and economic development. We look forward to seeing these businesses thrive and contribute to our vibrant community.”
