A vicious assault has taken place in Watford, leaving a 20-year-old man with a small puncture wound to his leg.

The attack occurred at the rear of Bushey train station, in Eastbury Road, on Saturday 18 February at around 5:15 pm.

The victim had arranged to buy a Canada Goose jacket online and had met with two men at the location. However, things took a violent turn, and an altercation ensued, resulting in the man’s injury.

The suspects quickly fled the scene, leaving the victim in a state of shock and fear.

The males are described as:

  • A black male of a large, tall build, with short dark hair
  • A black male, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build

Although the victim was treated at the hospital, the emotional trauma of the attack is likely to linger.

The police are now urgently appealing for witnesses and information to help bring the perpetrators to justice.

This is a shocking incident that highlights the dangers of online transactions and the need for increased vigilance in our communities.

Detective Constable Julie Vint, from the Watford Local Crime Unit said: “Thankfully the victim was not more seriously injured but this was still a horrible ordeal for him.

“Our enquiries are continuing at this time to trace the males involved and we are appealing for the public’s help.

“Did you witness the incident or see two people in the area matching the descriptions given? Any information at all could greatly assist us.”

Anyone with information is asked to please contact DC Vint via email.
