Teen Stabbed in Watford near Park, Police Searching for Suspect

A 19-year-old man was stabbed near the New Ascot Tower on Tuesday afternoon, June 6. The man was rushed to hospital with serious ‘Stab wound’ injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police were called to the scene at around 12:25 p.m. after reports of a stabbing.

Officers cordoned off Beggars Bush Lane, between Rickmansworth Road and Blackmoor Lane, and a police dog unit and a search helicopter were deployed to the area.

Our cameraman sees the dog unit car and a forensics van arriving at 3.35pm at the end of Beggars Bush Lane, where it meets Blackmoor Lane.

In a statement, Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing in Beggars Bush Lane, Croxley Business Park, at around 12:25 p.m. today.

“A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after being left stabbed in the wooded area.

“A police cordon remains in place at the scene and officers are carrying out enquiries.

“No arrests have been made at this time. Police continue a manhunt”

The stabbing has shocked the community, and many people have taken to social media to express their concern.

Some local schoolkids said: “That’s shocking, was it a drugs related.?”

Another said: “This is really worrying. I hope the police catch the person responsible.”

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward.

No arrests have been made at this time, and police are still searching for the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary to call 101 quoting ISR 327 of 6 June.
