Fatal crash in Bushey man died sets appeal from police
Hertfordshire Police are appealing for information from any witnesses and drivers who may have dash cam footage of a fatal crash in Bushey Heath today (Wednesday 10 January).
The collision occurred shortly before 9am, when a blue Volkswagen Polo car hit a wall in the car park of Homecedars House in Elstree Road.
A blue Volkswagen Polo was the only vehicle involved, which went into the car park wall of Homecedars House in Elstree Road.
Emergency services attended the scene, including an East of England air ambulance.
The driver was a man in his eighties, whom sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
“We are working to establish what happened this morning and I am asking any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
“If you have a dash cam and were driving in the area, I would also like you to check it and get in touch if you spot anything that could help.

Herts Fire Control tweeted on X ” We have already been called to 2 Traffic collisions this morning. They warn drivers to take extra care on the roads due to the cold and icy weather, and allow extra time for travel.”
